What in the hell am I listening to? And why can’t I stop listening to it? Igorrr is kind of like the audio version of a schizophrenic fit. And I don’t say that as a criticism. There is something about it that is impossible to put down, much like riding a roller coaster from hell with pyrotechnic attached to the side, you want to see where it is going next.
Why is there a chicken clucking? Why is there metal followed by something that sounds like eastern European traditional melodies? Why? Why? Why?
Researching the band a little, I came across an article which opened its review of the below album with this phrase: “Hallelujah” is… the follow-up to “Nostril”. Just let that sink in.
